Olympic Ribby

Thanks for all your comments on my last post. I chose to pull my Ribby cardigan out of the depths of my closet, and finishing it is my Ravelympics challenge. But, I enjoyed all of your cheerleading about my tessellating fish blanket, and I hope to start work on it again soon. I’m just not sure how to work on it with Ella. She’s been quite a little troublemaker with my sweater--I can only imagine what she will do when I start laying out fish to sew together.

The sweater is actually quite far along. The back and left front were already totally done when I set it aside. I picked it up again last weekend and started with the right front just below the decreases. That’s almost done now, even though I haven’t spent much time on it. I better hurry this up because I don’t have that long before the Olympics end on the 24th of August.

Wow, that sweater is REALLY far along, as you say. Yes, Ella would do some major damage to any knitting project you keep in the house. My devils broke some yarn and dragged my short-sleeved lace shrug (the newest incarnation of the Malabrigo) all around the dirty floor, but I decided to undo it before I left California anyways. Ugh.
I need to start a new project because I'm sick and tired of NM and need something to distract me from the UV rays (and this stupid D-word). Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg is in town and I'm going to Los Alamos this weekend. That's something!
Your neice's name is Kateri, right? She's all over town in the form of statues, monuments, and little magnets with the saint's image. The statue is in front of the city's St. Francic Cathedral.

I noticed you only had one comment, so I thought I would leave another one!
I know it makes you happy to see people responding to your blog.

Response, here it goes: I'm trying to "block"--Ha! I threw in a knitting word since I'm still not doing any--my first chapter. It's not going super well. What I decide to put into this chapter determines the rest of the "story"--and I don't know what that story is. There are maybe 5 possibilities.

Have fun knitting, and I hope everything with the job search is going to your satisfaction. I am so sick of New Mexico right now.
